Gatley Says No

Gatley Says No was started as a web presence for a campaign to prevent a railway track company in the U.K. from cutting down all the trees that have grown up over hundreds of years alongside the railway tracks and embankments in the UK. Instead of carryout proper management they decided to go for a blanket burnt earth policy. In the UK we deplore the way rainforests are being removed in other countries and want them to prevent multinationals from destroying them, yet here is an example right on our own doorstep of such mindless destruction and we seem powerless to prevent it.
