Static HTML or XHTML- a webmasters holy grail.

If there are any webmasters out there that are going nuts about the fact they cannot turn their dynamic content into static html docs, then i know how to do it.

This website is running mod rewrite rules and so is still dynamic, but i have other geeklogs that are predominantly modified into html docs. I find this runs so much faster and now i dont have problems with hosts complaining about how much i am stressing apache any more.

Static html is far more productive for your traffic, as there are "no hangs"..no apache, and no mysql either..so its one of the fastest methods to deliver content. I have recently been made aware that the fastest way to deliver web content is by using validated xhtml. Geeklog produces validated html which is still a very good thing. However i have spent a lifetime of validation ignorance and input a lot of poor quality code within stories and blocks to make this CMS appear to be full of invalid code.
