The name LitMUSE represents our goals and focus. â??Litâ?� stands for both literature and literacy, and â??MUSEâ?� is both an acronym for Multi-User Simulated Environment and the Greek word for the fount and guarantor of memory.

With a focus on promoting technological literacy within a (post)humanistic milieu, LitMUSE hopes to foster an ever-growing community of learners who work together to build text-based, virtual environments while addressing a variety of interests.
